www.encognitive.com Buddhism Meditation has always been central to Buddhism. The historical Buddha himself was said to have achieved enlightenment while meditating under a Bodhi tree. Most forms of Buddhism distinguish between two classes of meditation practices, shamatha and vipassana, both of which are necessary for attaining enlightenment. The former consists of practices aimed at developing the ability to focus the attention single-pointedly; the latter includes practices aimed at developing insight and wisdom through seeing the true nature of reality. The differentiation between the two types of meditation practices is not always clear cut, which is made obvious when studying practices such as Anapanasati which could be said to start off as a shamatha practice but that goes through a number of stages and ends up as a vipassana practice. Theravada Buddhism emphasizes the meditative development of mindfulness (sati, see for example the Satipatthana Sutta) and concentration (samadhi, see kammatthana), as part of the Noble Eightfold Path, in the pursuit of Nibbana (Nirvana). Traditional popular meditation subjects include the breath (anapana) and loving-kindness (mettā). Zen Buddhist meditation or zazen Zen Buddhist meditation or zazen In Japanese Mahayana schools, Tendai (Tien-tai), concentration is cultivated through highly structured ritual. Especially in the Chinese Chán Buddhism school (which branched out into the Japanese Zen, and Korean Seon schools), ts’o ch’an

Yes, it is possible. The mind can be quieted and observed like an object. It takes time, but the effect is one of deep, pervading silence. It’s as if the sounds of the world disappear in an abyss of silence behind the sound. Practice with a big intensity of effort, and before long you will experience it for yourself.

Hello, thank you for upload these. I’ve tried other technique before, I think that this is the best way. I have a question, while I am doing my meditation after 30mn, sometimes I cannot breathe at all. I want to keep going because I feel that I reach a no short stage. But my body ask me to breathe and when I do, my eyes are open and my meditation is stop. Do you have any advice to make me keep going. Thank you so much for your kindness and reply…

You will want things to focus your attention. If you cannot get to a no thought state you will want a mantra. I feel for you a good mantra would be

“I am at peace with my surroundings. I grow without needing to push my own growth. I am at peace”

You just repeat this in your head as you are exhaling and stay silent while inhaling. Practice this way until you can stay silent for more and more breaths. And then use mantra only when random thought enters mind.

The soul is a word understood by most people as the consciousness behind a life. Words are just that. So if one person has a concept of a word that is different as another person we cannot disrespect this. In most cases the most widely spread understanding should be used.

However, There is consciousness behind all life and and there is an energy source that we are all diffused from to create our personal energy core sources. So I do not know if the Buddha said soul does not exist or his…

  9. Nidish9644

Buddhism says there is no soul, or Aatman… so your argument is meaningless…

    Persistence. :)

This does not have to be true. Ego is just the personal soul. Outside ego is the collective soul. Unfortunately we have trained ourselves to compete in our personal worlds. But we must learn to love and embrace ego for unity consciousness can not be achieved when we separate family from spirituality. Though at this time a distinct separation does exist and wont not exist until we share children, parents until anything that is collectively personal becomes communal. But don’t hate ego,it is

Moreover, cosmic energy AUTOMATICALLY enters your body when you sleep. This is the purpose behind sleep. Using sound therapy while your awake, will indeed help you get into the meditative state.

When you are awake and going about your day, your energy depletes. In order to replenish the energy, you meditate.

The largest cause of energy loss is NEGATIVE emotions created by your mind. The mind constantly creates fear of the future and regrets of the past throughout your day.

  14. MysticalShaman11

Firejack95, there are many tools that can be used as “training wheels” in order to assist you into the meditative state. Certain sound frequencies can be used change the entrainment pattern of your brain.

The meditative state of your brain is in the Theta state. Sleep is in Delta mode, and alertness is in Beta mode. By using relaxing sounds, your mind slows down and reaches the meditative state.

Marijuana or pyschedelics can also be used as training wheels for meditation.

  15. Firejack95

You seem to know much about this. Let me ask you, would this count as meditation?

    /watch?v=2_a-Yh5FTaE

Just try it. Close your eyes and put on earphones. Would that help cosmic energy enter your body? Would it help the illnesses? Would Cosmic energy still enter you if you listened to this when you slept?

  16. maznoo2

yes i notice that and thats why i wanted to know about it , coz i am faceing lots of striss and i feel that i am damageing my breain and health , and i wanted to relax and eaze my mind , without drugs or any sort of that , i’ll try to learn more : )
but u say your spirit/energy will enter your body ! where it was befor entring my body ? is it like a hallow around my body ?

  17. MysticalShaman11

Your spirit is in charge when you live in the moment without constantly analyzing or questioning things. Your spirit consists of an inner state of love. Love is the essence of all creation.

Your ego depletes your energy by constantly making you doubt and question yourself. It makes your mind embrace fear, guilt, shame, and self judgment. This is why its important to slow down your thoughts…because your thoughts have been conditioned since birth to be under a fearful orientation.

  18. MysticalShaman11

What he is referring to is slowing down your breathe and your thoughts to a minimal point. At this state, your spirit/energy will enter your body and energize you. Have you noticed that when your constantly thinking and speaking, your energy becomes drained and you become tired?

Meditation is the state between sleep and being awake.

  19. maznoo2

thank u for replaying , but what i need to know that in the vedio , the man says , something like the breath shorting then like he dont breath , ! is that right or i got him wrong ? and why my spirit is droping on me ! and how i recive my spirit ?

  20. MysticalShaman11

Most people need “training wheels” to slow down their minds and understand what meditation really is.

  21. MysticalShaman11

    1) Humans are always breathing, however, when your energy centers are open, your breath becomes more powerful and flows all the way down your spine.

    2) That “shower” is your spirit…the more you slow down the unnecessary looping patterns of your mind, which is associated with your ego, the more of your spirit energy will enter your body, allowing you to go into a sense of knowing. It ground you into the present moment.

  22. maznoo2

some body plz answer my question
1 can human be breathless ?
2 what is that shower ? and what is the source of that energy shower ?
