What would get me to a meeting?

    1. Maybe specific issues that were of high concern
    2. Definitely a sense that I was a leader in these issues – a role, a job
    3. Maybe some festivity built in – if appropriate (fun coffee or good food or a fun theme)
    4. Maybe some other draw or incentive to attend (a raffle even if for something very small and just for fun, etc.)

For me, I attend meetings when I am – like you – an officer or board member. I attend neighborhood watch because I am a captain; I attend a conservation group because I am a board member. Sometimes I attend meetings when I am specifically invited and “asked”. So maybe you need to make people feel like they have roles, or just have the officers ask people to attend.
