It all depends on the condition of the snow and how you store your board, in what conditions.

Usually between five and eight days of riding before you must retune.

  2. rem2329

Using this technique and the CH8 wax, how long before you have to re-wax??..

  3. sierrasnowboard

For sure, easier to travel with as well.

Use a sharp, plastic scraper. You need to sharpen them from time to time.

Metal scrapers will scare up your base.

lol, ” when your girlfriend or mom opens the washer.”
and is a metal scraper ok? i really only ride park and rails and stuff, so it doesn’t seem like an issue, but i’m just making sure

can u use a scotch brite pad in place of a brush?

  7. sierrasnowboard

    Just Crayon it on.

  8. samjl4

how do you dry wax? without the iron?

  9. sierrasnowboard

It is what you do after brushing that presses the last bit of wax down into the groves of the base for the last bit of touch up before going out to shred you now super fast deck.

  10. sierrasnowboard

    If in doubt wax.

It will look dry and ride slow.

212° to 320°F (100 to 160°C) – Dependent on the type of wax that you are using.

If it smokes it is too hot!!

  19. iTheft

    Happy that we could help!

Only use metal to cut away p-tex.

Just make sure to sharpen your plastic scraper to keep it working properly.

  23. sierrasnowboard

When ever it is dirty or dry.

  24. sierrasnowboard

Both work and most people will never notice the difference.

Be careful not to have the iron too hot. The chemical composition will change if the wax starts to smoke.

  25. RobertWeekes

I heard it’s not good to drip the wax on cuz you might damage it from the heat, instead melt the edge of the wax block and rub directly against the board.
