A new survey released by the Project Management Institute (PMI) involving 30,000 practitioners in 29 countries confirms that project management is one of the hottest professions in the marketplace.
Which raises the question: How does someone determine if she or he is suited to become a project manager?

The median annualized salary in the U.S. is $ 105,000.
Seventy-one percent of respondents said their compensation (including salary, bonus and other benefits) had increased over the previous 12 months.
Nearly 33 percent reported increases of at least 5 percent of total compensation in the last year.
These numbers are great news for project managers who are looking to expand their careers with new skills, individuals who may be interested in a career change and those who are coming out of school or military service and considering what job would best suit their future goals, said Mark A.
